Alaka‘ina Foundation

Alaka‘ina Foundation is the majority owner of Ke`aki Technologies, LLC, a designated 8(a) firm providing a wide range of Information Technology Services, Program Management and Technology products, services, and solutions primarily to Department of Defense clients in Hawai‘i and abroad.

Alaka‘ina Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to building leadership programs and opportunities for “Na pua o Hawai‘i,” the youth of Hawai‘i. The Foundation serves as a conduit to insure young men and women have the skill sets and competencies to become effective leaders in the Native Hawaiian and rural communities. The Foundation’s core outreach initiative is the Hawaii Source Education Outreach Program (HSEO). Within this program, HSEO offers the Digital Bus, a state-of-the-art mobile learning platform with science projects for K-12 students, incorporating high technology and ensuring long-term impact via educator professional development opportunities.

The Digital Bus’ capacity includes grant funded projects in partnership with a variety of agencies including National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA). The scope of these projects reaches the islands of Maui, Moloka‘i, Lana‘i, and Kaua‘i.
